Assassin's Creed Mirage’s release date may have been revealed by inside sources. How long do we have to wait for the game?
For 15 years now, the Assassin's Creed games have blessed our screens and in honor of that Ubisoft gave us a glimpse into the future of the franchise during their showcase two months ago. One of the games they revealed there was Assassin's Creed Mirage.
With this title, the developer wants to go back to the franchise's roots and focus on stealth and parkour elements, that fans have been missing with the Action-RPG style of the newer titles.
AC Mirage Release Date: What Do We Know?
During the reveal of the game, we only got a vague release time of next year. Now, inside sources have given Insider Gaming a more concrete date. According to them, the game was set to be ready sooner, but had to be delayed twice, so that now we have a targeted release date of August 2023.
While they couldn’t say the reason for the delays, we can speculate. The game will be playable on both past-gen and current-gen consoles, so the limitations of the old hardware could very likely be a factor.
What About Assassin's Creed Red?
Widely anticipated by us all is also the new title Assassin's Creed Red, which is set to take place in Feudal Japan. For years, fans have asked for exactly this setting. That's why it's especially sad to hear, that, according to the inside sources, the development of the game has been facing some issues.
In September TheGamer reported abuse allegations inside the project. Perhaps this is one of the issues the game seems to be facing.
Stay tuned for more information on these games and the franchise. We are all waiting excitedly for a new trailer!
