The upcoming action RPG Black Myth: WuKong finally has a release window and a damn funny trailer.
Black Myth: WuKong is a very cool-looking action RPG with a Chinese setting and a very Souls-like combat system. The game is based on the Chinese folklore created in the 16th century novel "Journey to the West". In-game, we take the role of the Monkey King WuKong and basically replay his legend.
Probably some of you already know the character from games like Dota or League of Legends, which also feature the Monkey King as a playable character. Now, a new trailer has finally been released, which is not only funny as hell, but also gives us a preliminary release window:
Black Myth: WuKong Release Window
According to the new trailer, Black Myth: WuKong will be released in the summer of 2024. The first trailer came out over two years ago and looked incredibly good, after all the game is based on the Unreal Engine 5. The studio behind Black Myth: WuKong, Game Science, is still completely unknown and has not yet released a game. However, after the first trailer, they assured that they won't let the hype go to their heads.
With the latest trailer, the developers have already proven that they have a great sense of humor. Just take a look for yourselves:
In the short trailer, you can see a rabbit who can't wait to play Black Myth: WuKong. After his old PC completely crashes while trying to install the game, he builds a new one, but only gets a shown countdown after successful installation of Black Myth: WuKong. Years later, you see two rabbit children playing the game while the old rabbit comes into the room in a wheelchair – the calendar shows 2024. The credits then say "Summer 2024" as the release time.
Black Myth: WuKong looks damn good, and since we're big Souls fans ourselves and could use a change from Elden Ring, we can't wait for 2024. Are you also hyped for Black Myth: WuKong?
