A recent leak suggests that Cyberpunk 2077 will be going free-to-play as part of the Xbox Game Pass at some point in the near-future. Here are the details.
Cyberpunk 2077 was not good on launch. In fact, it was maybe the most disappointing game of all time, no wonder the devs lost their minds. But then they began to fix it. At first, it was just bugs and basic stability that the team were working on. But then actual content started to arrive, and now the game has finally received it's next-gen upgrade. We aren't going to claim that this is the next No-Man's Sky, the game is still a long-way off from what people expected when they pre-ordered. But would you give it a go if it was free?
Cyberpunk 2077 Discovered On Game Pass
Okay, we were being a bit cheeky, Cyberpunk 2077 has been discovered on Xbox Game Pass. So it isn't technically free, but if you're subscribing to Game Pass anyway (which you should consider because it's such a good deal) then it kinda, sorta is. Cyberpunk 2077 isn't currently on Game Pass, but in a recent bugged update, the future of the Xbox Game Pass library was accidentally revealed to certain users. Check it out:
Looks like cyberpunk might be coming to game pass from xboxone
This sucks for people that paid full-price. But to be honest, they made the first mistake by pre-ordering. The game was too ambitious, and we should have known. But here we are, years later, and now we can give the slightly-improved version a go for free (kinda). So why not?
