The Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty story takes up to 20h, but sometimes it's over before it's even begun. Here is how to avoid a single mistake to lock you out of the content!
If you're planning on getting yourself ready and good to go to discover the new district in the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion, you should make a back-up safe file just in case. Because there is a strong possibility you might mess up an early mission in the DLC, which will lock you out of the content entirely!
But before you venture forth, be sure you're up for the coming tasks, as they won't be easy. Creating your own build beforehand should do the trick, and in this article you'll find the best character builds for each Attribute.
Here is the spoiler-free version of how you lock yourself out of the DLC content
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty: One Little Mistake Locks You Out Entirely
The second mission called "Hole in the Sky" could end up in a failure, which leads to the outcome that the story in Dogtown won't be accessible to you anymore, even though you're able to traverse through it. The mandatory NPCs will treat you as a stranger and completely ignore you!
This is the worst-case scenario that can happen. If you notice the quest is marked as a failure, you need to reload your safe and try again.
Warning: Here we start with the spoiler and the explanation what's exactly leads to the lock out!
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty: Don't Fail The Quest "Hole in the Sky"
As we already mentioned above, the whole mess is starting with the quest "Hole in the Sky". The second mission involves you getting to the crashed plane of President Myers and rescue her from the predicament.
Should she ever die at some point in the quest, you'll lock yourself out and that's that. There is no way around it, and you need to reload your safe file. So safe often, and you won't have any problems with this!
But, should this lock-out happen to you and President Myser's dies while being protected by yours truly, you'll be granted a special cutscene with Johnny Silverhand.
You can straight up fail Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty's introduction and lose access to the entire DLC's main quest if you choose to ignore the objective and let Myers die with a special cut scene and line delivery from Johnny if you do so! shout out to my brother for driving like... pic.twitter.com/Ih5bkDfDld

After the cutscene is over, you'll be notified you've failed the mission. It's up to you if you reload the safe file and try again, or leave it at that and never meet the other characters of the DLC!
