Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming to Netflix soon, and the first trailer looks amazing.
Cyberpunk 2077 was a disappointment. Cyberpunk Edgerunners is not looking to repeat the mistake. Also, Cyberpunk Edgerunners can't afford to repeat the mistake, because unlike a video game, an anime can't be patched and improved upon for a whole year. What you see is what you get, and, so far, what we're seeing looks pretty good.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners: New Trailer Revealed
We're only two weeks away from the release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. To celebrate the release of this anime, Netflix released a new trailer for the upcoming series. The trailer kicks off with a huge NSFW warning, so be aware that this new series won't be for the faint of heart.
If you want action, blood and sex, then this seems to be the right series for you. The trailer looks incredibly brutal and we hope that the series can live up to that, because let's be honest, the source material is also pretty bloody, right?
The series was animated by Tokyo-based animation studio Trigger, known for their work on Kill La Kill and Kiznaiver so this ought to be a bloody and insane mess. Judging by the new trailer it's everything we could have imagined.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners Release Date

A little too much style and sauce? I don't know, and I can't really comment, since I've never been an intro fan. I love anime, but I skip intros religiously. Still for people that are deep into the intro game, this is probably a nice first teaser for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
The title sequence was revealed at the Anime Expo, currently taking place, and those in attendance also got to see the first episode of Cyberpunk Edgerunners. The anime will revolve around Martinez, who is described as a kid from the streets "trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk."
The other protagonist is Lucy, a netrunner that will also feature throughout the anime's 10 episodes, which will take place in the same location as The Pickup mission from Cyberpunk 2077. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is due to be released in September 2022, so... it won't be long.
