Are you ready for the cheapest Cyberpunk 2077 sale ever? Well, you better be, because it is literally "dirt" cheap now!
After a little over a year on the market, things are still not looking up for Cyberpunk 2077. It launched back in December 2020 to rave... sorry... devastating backlash. Its reviews were generally mixed and its bugs were many. Nowadays, though, we speak of Cyberpunk very little. It has been patched beyond an inch of its life, and reportedly works pretty well. The problem? It still doesn't live up to its promises, and with all the negative associations, people don't generally want to play the game.
CD Projekt Red really pooped the potty with this one, didn't they? Oh, and to add insult to injury, the game can now be bought for as low as $5 USD. That is absolutely insane, isn't it? Just ridiculously cheap. Almost low enough to justify a purchase, to incentivize humans to at least enjoy the parts of the game that were actually really great.
Afterthe February update, people were pretty excited. Perhaps this discount is a way for CD Projekt Red to save some face, get some people into the game so that they can get a better impression of it and be more likely to purchase The Witcher 4 in a few years time. The context, whilst important, is not what your here to read about, though, is it? Well, let's get on with it then!
You Can Get Cyberpunk 2077 for $5!
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently being sold for only $5 USD at Best Buy. The deal is only for a limited time – one day only! – so you are going to need to get in super, super quick. Only the physical copies of the game are available for this low price, so if you are outside of the USA then... well... you've been forgotten again. Typical!
In the end, though, everyone needs to remember that Cyberpunk 2077 is not "the worst game ever". Even if you can't get your hands on a $5 USD version, there are plenty of places that are selling for between $20 and $30. For that price, the game is now worth it. It isn't the mind-blowing experience we expected or wanted, but it is pretty good and... well... it actually works now! Wow!
If there's one thing I can tell you about this city - you either love it or wanna burn it.No middle ground. #Cyberpunk2077 pic.twitter.com/NnRPS8ExU3

There are also rumors that Cyberpunk 2077 might even be going free-to-play relatively soon. We are doubtful that this is true, to be honest, but if it is that could be a very interesting twist for the game. For starters, how would they monetize it, would it make sense? We're not really sure – but perhaps the game's long-awaited multiplayer component could be exactly that! We'll just have to wait and see...
