CD Projekt Red has already announced that Cyberpunk Orion will be the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. Here's everything we know about Cyberpunk Orion so far.
CD Projekt Red, the developers of big titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher series, announced in October 2022 that Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting a sequel with the current code-name Cyberpunk Orion.
Since the big Cyberpunk 2.0 update just came out, as well as the Phantom Liberty DLC, the hype around Cyberpunk has risen once again. But it's been about a year since CD Projekt Red announced the sequel over on Twitter, but what do we know about Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk Orion's future at the moment?
Cyberpunk Orion: Developers Revealed More About Cyberpunk's Future
Cyberpunk 2077 has made an impressive comeback thanks to its 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty, and you might be wondering if Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting any more new content in the future. The short answer is: no, it won't.
Cyberpunk 2077's game director Gabe Amatangelo revealed in an interview with PC Gamer that "2.0 and Phantom Liberty are the last big updates. We'll do a little something more, but those are the last big ones."
Amatangelo went on to reveal that once they've fixed and patched up those last little bugs and glitches, CD Projekt Red will start working on its sequel, Cyberpunk Orion. It doesn't seem like this will be the final title of the game, but for now, Cyberpunk Orion is the name you should be looking out for in the future.
Sadly, CD Projekt Red hasn't really given us further news about Cyberpunk Orion. We know that CD Projekt Red will be developing the game themselves, so the game will probably come out after the next Witcher title. Here's a look at the developer's long-term plan:

One new exciting aspect, that could be coming to Cyberpunk Orion is a possible multiplayer mode. CD Projekt Red announced that most of their new games will have multiplayer, so we can hope to see that in Cyberpunk Orion as well.
Until we find out more, I guess we'll just have to make up our own theories about the sequel's code-name. Will Greek mythology play a bigger part in Cyberpunk Orion, or does the name tie in to the constellation? Will the sequel perhaps take place in space? I mean, it seems to be pretty trendy, with big hits like Starfield and No Man's Sky . Who knows, it probably won't play in space, but never say never.
As soon as we hear more about Cyberpunk Orion, we'll keep you updated. Until then, enjoy the Cyberpunk 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty! If you ever need tips, check out our Cyberpunk 2077 guides!
