Dark Souls: Archthrones is an overhaul mod for Dark Souls 3 and it looks amazing. Check out the fantastic new gameplay trailer here.
We love a good mod over here at EarlyGame, especially an impressive overhaul mod. And it seems to be the season of ambitious mods for dusty, old games. We just reported on Fallout: London, a complete overhaul of Fallout 4, and we got the next big boy mod right here: Dark Souls: Archthrones.

The trailer immediately shows off the new environments and enemies that have been created for this mod. It’s unmistakably Dark Souls 3, but it’s extremely cool to see the game shine in a new light. Archthrones promises a new story and structure, which can be seen in the overhaul of the hub. The Firelink Shrine is now the Nexus of Embers and is basically like the Nexus in Demon’s Souls.
That means that you’ll be able to teleport to five different worlds, all of which seem to be brand-new. It's cool and potentially really exciting to mix these two different approaches at Souls games. We're really looking forward to this mod, if you’re looking for more Souls-like action after being done with Elden Ring, this looks like the perfect thing for you. We unfortunately don’t know when the mod come out, but here’s hoping it’s sooner rather than later.
