Diablo 4 will offer an incredible amount of content at launch, especially thanks to a big focus on end game and post-game features. The developers told us in an exclusive interview what we can expect upon release.
We always expected Diablo 4 to be a huge game, since Blizzard literally said it was. But now we've been able to sit down and talk to the devs about endgame content, we're starting to think this game will be even bigger than we had first imagined.
We spoke to Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora and Lead Game Producer Kayleigh Calder, and they revealed how long the game will keep us busy for… and boy, is it a long time.
Diablo 4 Will Keep Players Busy For "Thousands Of Hours"
Blizzard has recently revealed its plans for the Diablo 4 endgame, and they have quite a lot in store for players. Several new activities and features, like the Capstone Dungeons, which are tied to the Diablo 4 World Tiers, the reworked Paragon system and the PvP-focused Fields of Hatred are gonna keep players busy for a while.
And a long while that is. In our interview, the two devs talked about how long players will have to play for just one character to be max level and get the best possible gear in the game:
“To get the very best of everything, you’re looking at something like hundreds or thousands of hours per character. Definitely closer to thousands.”
Still don't have Diablo 4 pre-ordered? Then go over to Amazon and get the game now!
Wow, that’s a lot of hours! Even considering how huge the Diablo 4 map is, and how much endgame content is planned, we were quite surprised to hear that number. Then again, Piepiora emphasized that completing the Paragon board will alone take “around 160 hours for an average player”.
So, players have definitely a lot to look forward to when Diablo 4 launches on PC, Xbox and PlayStation on June 6. Stay tuned at EarlyGame for more pre-release coverage and more detailed guides on everything, including the new endgame activities in the game.
