Diablo 4 DLC is on the way, with general manager Rod Fergusson confirming that Blizzard is already working on two expansions for the game.
Diablo 4 is a massive game, but it’s about to get even bigger. Rod Fergusson, Diablo general manager, confirmed in an interview that Blizzard is already working on not one, but two big expansions for the game.
Diablo 4 DLC On The Way – Two Expansions Already In Works
Speaking to Kinda Funny Games, Fergusson revealed more about Diablo 4’s post-launch content. The game is set to be supported for years, and it really looks like it. According to Fergusson, the dev team is not just working on the upcoming seasons, but also on big expansions.
“We're finishing up season one, we're working on season two. We're working on expansion one, we're kicking off expansion two. We're working on that now and we haven't even launched the game."
Diablo 4 will be a live-service game, so while it already offers a lot of content, consistently offering new, exciting things for players is key to make this work. And it looks like Blizzard is really taking that to heart and are really trying to impress with the amount they offer here.
Loving Diablo 4? So are we (hence we gave it 26/10 in our review), and we just found this awesome D4-themed mousepad !
Let’s hope the quality lives up to our expectations as well. It’s gonna be interesting to see, how these will work in Diablo 4. Prior Diablo games only got one expansion each, while the fourth game in the series will get multiple. We expect them to work kinda like in World of Warcraft or Destiny, where each expansion offers new areas, story content, a bunch of new mechanics and in general a big shift in how the game works.
