Tiny Tina's Wonderland is fan-service in every way, and now fans are being serviced with some old-school pleasure. Yes, I know how that sounds.
Let's face it: Tiny Tina's Wonderland is a fan's game, making the absolute best use of the Borderlands franchise (as is this game). Tiny Tina's Wonderland is also a game with old-school charm, and Tiny Tina's Wonderland is fun to write, so I wrote it three times in a row, leading me up to number four: Tiny Tina's Wonderland will have local-coop. What!? I know, right? What was the last AAA game to consider people actually having real life friends, sitting on a sofa and all (Editor: It Takes Two. Do your research, Amidu)? I can't believe it.
Tiny Tina's Wonderland: Local Co-Op Splitscreen
The good old local co-op splitscreen returns for this game. I can't believe it. Up to four players can play locally on PS5 and Xbox Series X, while older systems are limited to two players. For anyone that's still taking social distancing seriously, don't worry: The game also has online co-op, with full crossplay for four players on every system.
In another announcement, Gearbox revealed that Tiny Tina's Wonderland will get DLC installments, after it's released on March 25. More specifically, each DLC will add a new illusionary world, with five levels and a final boss. The DLC is meant to be played over and over, and will increase in difficulty (and reward) with every run.
