Duke Nukem gets a Netflix adaptation. Will it be any good? Honestly, no idea, but the creators look promising.
Many hate them, many love them: video game adaptations. You have The Witcher, a show that I personally loved, but know many fans (especially of the books) hated, you soon will get Dragon Age, which took the animated series route, just like Arcane from League of Legends and the upcoming Last of Us TV Show that we know practically nothing about.
Netflix seems to love this trope, so it doesn't look like they're going to stop anytime soon.
Duke Nukem Netflix Movie
This isn't even a leak, this is a fact. A Duke Nukem movie will hit Netflix sometime in the future. Don't fret, though, Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg will be in charge of this project. You might not know their names, but they were the creators of Cobrai Kai and that show was insanely good, so that's already a first step towards a great movie.
Legendary Entertainment (Dune, Jurassic World) will produce this movie, so another name that looks promising. On the other hand, you have Marla Studios who did the Assassin's Creed movie. No comment on that.
Apart from the fact that it's happening and who will be in charge of the movie, we know virtually nothing. No release date, no cast, seriously... nothing.
Though, while we're talking about cast already, if Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't play Duke, then I don't want to watch it. John Cena, I'd also be okay with, but these two are the only options that would make sense.
Also, Netflix better not sugarcoat it. I want a PG18, boom, boom, pow, pow movie where I don't have to think for two hours. I just want to see Duke Nukem smash some heads in... in a live-action version. Was that too much?
