Elden Ring is without doubt one of the best games that have been released during the last years. The game is available on many platforms, but will Elden Ring also be on Xbox Game Pass anytime soon? Let's take a look.
Besides directly buying a game, more and more Xbox players decide to just subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass which includes hundreds of games, old ones as well as new ones, sometimes even day-one-releases like Atomic Heart.
And since Elden Ring is around for more than a year now, you might of course be curious if you can play Elden Ring via Xbox Game Pass now or anytime soon.
Is Elden Ring On Game Pass?
Unfortunately, Elden Ring is currently not available on Xbox Game Pass. But although there is currently no official information about the game becoming part of the Game Pass library, this doesn't mean that this can't change in the future.
Elden Ring On Game Pass: Xbox Vice President Tweet Causes Confusion
The hopes to see Elden Ring showing up on Game Pass increased a lot in mid-July 2023, and the reason for that was a tweet from Xbox Vice President Sarah Bond.
The tweet shows two emojis, an elderly person and a ring, together with an #Xbox hashtag. Adding an image from the game a few hours later, Bond made clear that she indeed pointed at Elden Ring:

Unfortunately, she later made clear that she just likes playing those "game-name-emoji-puzzles", and that there was no reference to Elden Ring coming to Game Pass in her Elden Ring puzzle.
Will Elden Ring Appear On Game Pass In The Future?
In theory, Elden Ring can become part of the Game Pass library anytime, but the chances that this will happen all too soon probably aren't very high, since FromSoftware is now officially working on the DLC Shadow of the Erdtree – and they will certainly hope that this will convince even more gamers to buy the original game instead of offering a cheaper way to play it. So if Elden Ring will ever come to Game Pass, you shouldn't expect it earlier than in 2025.
