The well known game developer and mastermind behind popular titles like the Fable series, Peter Molyneux, recently talked about his upcoming projects. During the interview, he teased game mechanics that were never seen before.
Fable Creator Teases New Projects
22Cans founder and well-known video game developer Peter Molyneux recently talked to Gamereactor.com about his upcoming project and was very reserved about giving too much information. However, he did make one huge promise:
So in days gone by, I would just start telling you about the whole game and the whole game design and why it was going to be the most brilliant game in the world. And people looking at this would then get very annoyed and angry. So I'm not going to do that
But he wouldn't be Peter Molyneux without hinting at least a little bit about the distinctiveness of his upcoming project. According to Molyneux the team has stumbled on "a game mechanic that has never been seen in a game before".
Also, the new project would be a lot more like Fable, Black and White or Dungeon Keeper.
So, it will be interesting to see which game mechanic Moylneux is talking about and how the community is going to react. Molyneux's studio, 22Cans, is more known for the several releases of mobile games in the past years. Titles like "The Trail" and "Godus" for example. And they were very successful doing so.
According to 22Cans' website, "The Trail" won the "Editor's Choice" Award and ranked within in the "Top 10 Best Games of 2016" on the App Store. It was also crowned the "Best Games of 2016" at Google Play.
And it's not like Molyneux wouldn't have enough experiences in gaming development to manage a successful game release. He was the mind behind the Black & White series, the Fable series and is hailed as the founder of God-Simulations.
