Fans of the Final Fantasy Games might not have to wait much longer to find out about the upcoming instalment in the series. Square Enix has been pretty quiet in regard to the upcoming game, but finally they’ve revealed some more information.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting some more news on the game, and thankfully we're getting a few breadcrumbs thrown our way. So, what do we know about Final Fantasy XVI?
New Info on Final Fantasy XVI Release
Square Enix has kept quiet about the upcoming Final Fantasy game that will be part of the main games, but it seems like there could be new information on the game sooner than we might have thought.
A few months ago, Final Fantasy XVI producer, Naoki Yoshida, stated that there would be a big reveal at some point in early 2022. Development on the game had been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but now might be the time to reveal more about the upcoming game.
Sony just announced their next PlayStation State of Play broadcast. The broadcast should take around 20 minutes and will focus on video game publishers from Japan — and guys… where is Square Enix from…? Right Japan!
So, we’re huffing some serious Hopium right now, but it could be that this upcoming PlayStation State of Play will broadcast and reveal some new information regarding the next Final Fantasy game.
Another reason we’re so high on hopium right now is the fact that the game was initially even revealed during a PlayStation event… so we do think that PlayStation is going to have some inside scoops ready for us and the upcoming game.
When is the PlayStation State of Play Broadcast?
The broadcast is going to be on March 9, 2022 at 2PM Pacific and 5PM Eastern. You’ll have to tune in to Sony’s official Twitch and YouTube to find out all the information and whether we were right.
