Netflix revealed the first trailers for its Live-Action Resident Evil series. Check them out here.
Video game adaptations are notoriously bad, always have been and always will be. Right? Wrong! At least... kind of. They seem to get better, with the Sonic movies conquering the charts. And Netflix itself has a pretty good track record for working with video games, the Castlevania show is really great after all.
Now it looks like the red giant might have another hit on their hands: Netflix revealed the first look of its Live-Action Resident Evil series and it looks pretty good!
Check Out The First Trailers For The Netflix Resident Evil Series
Netflix released two short teaser trailers for the show, creatively titled "Resident Evil". Damn, couldn't have thought of that one myself...
The show will focus on the Wesker family, more concretely on Jade and Billie Wesker. Yes, they are the daughters of infamous franchise villain Albert Wesker and yes, I'm excited for the potential shenanigans. Here is how Netflix describes the show's premise:
Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.
The show will release on July 14 for Netflix. Check out the trailers below. We think it looks pretty good! It might end up being one of the best horror shows on Netflix. I'll definitely check it out and hope it will be better than the Halo series...
