Sony is branching out by bringing more of its exclusives to other platforms: This time, the Nintendo Switch is the lucky winner.
For a while now, Sony has been bringing its exclusives to other platforms, though mostly, it was just the PC that would get them: The Horizon games have made the jump to PC, as has Ghost of Tsushima, God of War and others. Now, Sony seems to want to expand its brand even further by bringing exclusives to the Nintendo Switch, and the first announcement has just been made.
PlayStation Exclusive Coming To Nintendo Switch
The game in question is F.I.S.T.: Forge in Shadow Torch. We know this, because the Taiwanese rating board has officially rated the game for the Switch. If you're not familiar - a board rating always confirms a game's release, so this is a surefire thing.
This is noteworthy because the game was never announced to come to the Switch, and thus, was firmly believed to be exclusive to Sony's console. This, notably, marks the first time that a Sony exclusive is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Maybe, then, this also marks the start of a renewed Sony and Nintendo friendship? The two Japanese companies have shared gaming IPs in the past, so maybe this is the dawn of a new age. Just imagining some of Nintendo's exclusive IPs coming over to the Sony platform is mouth-watering, and it would absolutely be the best way for both companies to combat the ever-growing threat of Microsoft's acquisitions and Game Pass.
F.I.S.T. originally released for the PlayStation in September last year, and garnered very positive reviews. The game has definite Metroidvania influences, so it will definitely find a solid home amongst the Nintendo fanbase.
