After Breath of the Wild only had horses, Tears of the Kingdom now offers an infinite amount of ways to move across Hyrule. How To Build A Skateboard In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Building a skateboard is easy. All you must do is to fuse a cart to any shield. If you can't find a cart anywhere lying around Hyrule, you can also get it from one of the Zonai Device Dispensers. Not all of these gumball machines carry carts, though. You'll find the right dispensers at the following locations:
- Lanayru Great Spring Sky (2913, 0510, 0951)
- West Necluda Sky (1349, -2144, 0585)
- Akkala Highlands Sky (3748, 1538, 1157)
After trading some Zonai Charges, you will end up with a cart. Now, just place it on the ground and fuse it to one of your shields. And there you have it! Your very own Zonai skateboard. To actually ride it, just shield surf down a hill.

How To Shield Surf In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
This is what you must do to surf down a mountain on your shield
- Find a slope surface, such as a hill or a mountain
- Equip a shield of your choice
- Take out your shield and start walking
- Press "X" to jump, and while in the air, press the "A" button to shield surf
