Last week, Ubisoft announced Ghost Recon Frontline, a new battle royale shooter. Following the game's poor reception, they have now delayed the release date.
What is Ubisoft thinking? Last week, the publisher announced Ghost Recon Frontlines, and it caused... let's say, not the best reaction I have ever seen. Fans of the "Ghost Recon"-franchise have been complaining for years about how the once beloved tactical action series is losing more and more of its identity. And now this, a mediocre-looking Warzone knock-off. No surprise then that the reveal trailer didn't go down well at all, and now sports a whopping 17k dislikes. This has led Ubisoft to delay the Ghost Recon Frontline release date.

Has The Ghost Recon Frontline Release Date Been Delayed?
Yes, Ubisoft have delayed the release date for Ghost Recon Frontline. More precisely, they have delayed the "Closed Test", where you could have played the game for the first time. This was announced on the official Twitter account for Ghost Recon Frontline.

What Is The New Ghost Recon Frontline Release Date?
Ubisoft have not yet indicated when Ghost Recon Frontline or the closed test will be released. So the game is postponed indefinitely. Since they really don't say anything except that they want to reveal details on the new date as soon as possible, we assume it could be more than just a few weeks. Oh dear, Ubisoft... it's not looking very rosy right now.Why exactly the Ghost Recon Frontline release date has been postponed also remains a mystery. But an open one... I mean, just look at the reaction from fans and critics. You don't have to be Sherlock or Colombo to find the right clues. Again, 17,000 dislikes vs. 4,400 likes. That's a one and a seven, with three zeros behind it. That's pretty crushing, and reminds us of the reaction to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare back in the day.... some will remember it as one of the most disliked videos ever.
Can Ghost Recon Frontline still be a good game, even though the release date was delayed just one week after the announcement? I have my doubts. Why is Ubisoft trying their luck with another battle royale? Did they forget how they completely failed with HyperScape (AKA what my mom says when she wants to talk about Hyperspace)? I don't know. It's a mystery to me.
