Diablo 4 is officially set for a release in 2023, that much has been clear for a while. But we could now know a more concrete release window, thanks to multiple insiders revealing the targeted release time for Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 Coming Sooner Than Expected
Diablo 4 is slated for a release in April 2023, according to Jez Corden of Windows Central and Nick "Shpeshal_Nick" Baker from the XboxEra podcast. In a report, Corden quotes Baker and confirms that he also heard from insider sources, that the April 2023 launch window is being targeted for Diablo 4.
The dynamic duo has revealed more info on the release of the much-anticipated action RPG. According to their info, the release date could be announced at The Game Awards, with pre-orders going live at the same time. It's a big release, so there will obviously be multiple editions of the game, including a big collector's edition. Diablo 4 is set to release for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series .
There also seems to be an open beta planned for February 2023, with early access being a pre-order benefit. Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard still hasn't gone through, but could be a done deal by the time Diablo 4 comes out, opening up the opportunity for it to come to Game Pass. That's all just speculation, but we only have to wait until December 8 to find out more... hopefully.
