Metal Gear Solid is said to be getting the remake treatment in a PS5 comeback. Here's everything you need to know.
Alright, you know the drill: Pinches of salt. Get them out. Be ready, because this one comes with a lot of doubt. Still, there have been persistent rumors about Konami remaking its classics, which include Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, and Castlevania, so... this MGS remake has been in the air for a while.
Metal Gear Solid Remake Potentially In Works
The latest leak surrounding this comes from AccountNGT, a reputable leaker who simply tweeted "yes" when being asked if the Metal Gear Solid remake is real. Thus, there is not much of point in us showing you that Yes-Tweet, and, thus, the pinches of salt.
The thing is though: Others have previously reported that Konami is working on a Metal Gear Solid remake and these rumors are just starting to add up. Also, there is a Metal Gear Solid VR game in the making, so it is unclear whether these remake rumors are referring to that.
Rumor has it that the developer in question will be Bluepoint, who have previously worked on the critically acclaimed Demons Souls remake. Of course, with Bluepoint attached, and with Konami having been bought by Sony, you can bet your house that this one will be exclusive to the PlayStation.
More hints towards a Metal Gear Solid remake came from another leaker. This one is coming from @Shpeshal_Nick, who we probably don't need to introduce to most people. He is known as a reliable leaker and reporter, and now he stoked the fires for a Metal Gear Solid remake with this tweet featuring two snakes:

Two snakes, eh? Almost like they're... Twin Snakes? As in, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, the 2004 GameCube remake of the original MGS? Interesting... what could that possibly mean? We will have to wait and see, hopefully sooner rather than later.
