Which characters will we be able to play in Mortal Kombat 1? The timeline got a reset and developer NetherRealm is slowly guiding us into the new universe. New and returning fighters are entering the stage of the Earth- and Netherrealm. Here are all confirmed characters!
The ending of Mortal Kombat 11 had Lord Liu Kang use Kronika's Hourglass to create a new timeline for all the different realm. Every deceased friend and foe alike are no longer lost and forgotten, leading us to a complete world reset.
The reset and re-imagining of Mortal Kombat can rewrite the entire history of individual characters and forge new connections, friendships, and enemies. It's going to be an interesting journey, seeing returning characters in a younger version and behaving completely different.

Peacemaker seems to be the official DCU version, with John Cena's interpretation of the character.

Unlike any other Mortal Kombat installment so far, Mortal Kombat 1 will feature Kameo fighters. These are characters aiding and assisting the main fighter by throwing out attacks from behind.

And with that, all the characters revealed at the San Diego Comic Con have been announced to the masses. And it's delightful to see a lot of returning characters coming back. Reiko, for example, had smaller cameos in MK 9, MKX and MK11, but it's the first time in 17 years he's been a playable character - and he looks absolutely badass!
