Mortal Kombat 1 comes in different editions with different additional content. We'll show you what you get in the MK1 Standard, Premium and Kollector's Editions.
Mortal Kombat is rebooting the series in 2023. Instead of Mortal Kombat 12, we'll get Mortal Kombat 1, and we're really looking forward to seeing some new fatalities. For those who already know they absolutely need Mortal Kombat 1, here's a look at the three different editions, where you can pre-order them, and what they contain.
Mortal Kombat 1 Standard-, Premium- & Kollector's Edition Pre-order Bonuses
MK1 will be released on September 19, 2023, and can be pre-ordered now in three different editions. Except for the Kollector's Edition, all editions are available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch. The Kollector's Edition is only available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Let's take a look at the contents:
MK1 Standard-Edition
The standard edition of Mortal Kombat 1 includes Shang Tsung as a playable character as a pre-order bonus in addition to the main game.
- MK1 Standard Edition costs $69.99
MK1 Premium-Edition
The Premium Edition is even more exciting. With it, you will receive the following pre-order bonuses:
- Shang Tsung Character
- Access to the game one week earlier (September 14)
- Access to the DLC-characters one week earlier
- The Kombat Pack
- 1250 Dragon Krystals (In-Game currency)
So with the Premium Edition you can play all the content a week early and get six more new characters, five cameo characters and the Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage with the Kombat Pack.
- The MK1 Premium-Edition costs $109.99
MK1 Kollector's Edition
The Kollector's Edition is of course the most expensive and heaviest version. It is unfortunately only available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but contains some cool bonuses:
- Shang Tsung Charakter
- Access to the game one week earlier (September 14)
- Access to the DLC-characters one week earlier
- The Kombat Pack
- 2700 Dragon Krystals (In-Game currency)
- Liu Kang Figure
- Exclusive Steel Case
- Limited COARSE Art Prints
- Exclusive in-game color variant for Liu Kang
The box itself, in which the Kollector's Edition comes, is of course also pretty nice... But as usual for such editions, the whole thing also comes at a pretty hefty price:
- The MK1 Kollector's Edition will cost you an unbelievable $249.99
Those were all the available pre-order editions of Mortal Kombat 1. Will you get the game? We're really excited to see what new and old characters are in store this time around. Until then: FINISH HIM!
