The mother of all exploits has been discovered in Pokémon Violet & Scarlet: duplicating legendary Pokémon. How long left before it's patched?
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet bugs have been plaguing the game since launch, but now we've discovered one that actually improves the game. Duplicating legendary Pokémon. Yep, you read that right, ladies and gentlemen, it's time to break Scarlet and Violet even more!
Duplicating Legendary Pokémon
We can't give you exact advice here, but the gist of the exploit is this:
- Complete the Area Zero questline so that you can transform Miraidon and Koraidon into their battle forms.
- "Trick" the game into depositing Koraidon and Miraidon into it's storage box (you need to be quick).
- Now the legendary Pokémon will still be in your party, but also in the Storage Container, creating a duplicate.
This is basically just an extension of the item duplication glitch, which involves placing a picnic table above an item in one of the sparkly areas to pick it up again and again.
For all the bugs and glitches we've seen in Pokémon, it's a god-send that some of them can actually be exploited to improve our experience of the game. Or, you know, satisfy our laziness.
