It seems like Pokémon Legends: Arceus will not be the only game releasing this year. What other game is coming, then?
Are you excited about Pokémon Legends Arceus? Maybe you’ve been enjoying Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, the remakes of the old classics? If so, then you’re a big fan of Pokémon, right? Then you’ll be in for a treat today, because according to Samus Hunter, a known Nintendo insider and leaker, we will be getting more Pokémon spin-offs soon… maybe even very soon.
New spin-offs are also coming for mobile and console, I don't rule out that we might see some Detective Pikachu related stuff.These are TPC's general plans as of today, in the coming weeks/months I will try to keep you updated. I will talk about Nintendo in the coming days.

As you can see from the tweet, the spin-off games won’t be restricted to consoles, but will also come to mobile devices and – even bigger news, in my opinion – we might finally get a Detective Pikachu game!
Not sure what that would look like, but given how great that movie was (please tell me I’m not the only one that thinks that), a game revolving around that sounds fantastic.
Now, I doubt that they’d release any info on these spin-off games prior to the Arceus release, so if I were to take a guess here, I’d say they’d announce one (or more) of these games at a Nintendo Direct this year. Remember how last year we got multiple bits and pieces on upcoming Pokémon games there, so an announcement for something upcoming like Pokémon spin-off games does seem likely.
Given the fact that Arceus releases this month already though and that Samus actually talked about a possible Nintendo Direct in February, we might be hearing about these spin-off games within the first quarter of 2022.
In the coming days I will go into more detail explaining some of the announcements and motivations, but I don't rule out that it could also arrive in January. There are announcements that are usually scheduled two months before launch that fall in late March.

If a Nintendo Direct will indeed happen then, we will update this article and let you guys know. For now, our main focus is Arceus, though. Will it actually disappoint fans or will it change all our minds? Maybe the graphics won't be so bad after all?
