Next Level Infotainment: History Podcasts As In-Game Music
Europa Universalis 4 is known for his historical accuracy, at least that's the case until the players are coming to build up the Province of Ulm into the world's first superpower. Now Paradox is going one step further and adds two podcasts about history as in-game music to the game.
As Paradox announced in a new press release, the two history podcasts "History of China" and "History of Japan" are now available as part of the in-game music player in the "History Lessons Pack".
Europa Universalis IV, a game filled to the brim with information about geography, history and culture gets even more educational with a new series of history lectures integrated into the game's music player about two very popular nations - China and Japan, each sold separately. This partnership with popular podcasters is the first in what is hoped to be a more extensive collaboration between Paradox Interactive’s grand strategy games and history educators and enthusiasts.
The podcasts were recorded by Laszlo Montgomery, host of the "History of China podcast" and Isaac Meyer, host of the "History of Japan podcast". Paradox's Business Owner Ryan Sumo stated:
A lot of people say they learn so much from Paradox games. It makes sense, I think, to explore how we can enhance that experience and give players more information about the past in our game without just adding more text
So if you're interested in the history of the world, you might want to keep an eye on these projects. I mean, what's better than playing an immersive grand strategy game and even learning stuff for your next history exam.
