No More Climbing In The Rain | How Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Fixed BOTW Most Annoying Feature

Zelda: Breath of the Wild was an amazing game, there is no doubt. But one thing has really brought us to the edge... If your level of patience is already low, never try to climb a mountain while it's raining. Luckily, Tears of the Kingdom will give us a better alternative to get to the top.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is going to release soon and bit by bit, Nintendo is revealing more details about this game. In the recent gameplay demonstration, producer Eiji Aonuma showed us some of Links new abilities and gameplay mechanics. One in particular has reminded us of the dark times in Breath of the Wild, whenever we tried to climb up a mountain in the rain... Don't try, It's not worth the mental breakdown.

This new ability is going to make it a lot easier for us to reach the top of a mountain in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

New Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ability Is Everything We Ever Wanted

If you played Zelda: Breath of the Wild you probably remember the pain of having to climb up a big mountain. But the once it started to rain, even reaching the top of a small hill seemed like an impossible task because Link would slip down every other second. That way, we would run out of stamina before even getting near to the peak. Although the climbing feature was one of the things we loved most in BOTW, we also hated it.

Luckily, Tears of the Kingdom will give Link an ability to bypass this issue. With "Ascend", Link can warp through ceilings and reach the top of a mountain within seconds, as long as there is a cave at the bottom.

The developers have already announced that there will be limits to this feature, so we expect it to only work within a certain distance. But considering all my meltdowns when I dropped off a mountain just before reaching the top, I'm just really happy to finally have an alternative option.

Here, you can take a look at all of Link's new abilities that Nintendo has revealed so far:
