Overwatch 2 Season 4 is coming closer. Soon, we will be able to welcome a new support hero, a brand-new battle pass, and other changes to the game. Here is everything we know about Overwatch season 4.
Overwatch 2 Season 4 is just around the corner. Blizzard just revealed the new support hero Lifeweaver, and we already got to see an epic trailer for the upcoming season. The new hero, a whole new battle pass and a new mythic skin will come to Overwatch 2 very soon. Here is everything coming to Overwatch 2 in season 4.
Overwatch 2 Season 4: Release Date, New Hero, Reworks And More
It's hard to believe that we have almost reached season 4 of Overwatch 2 when it feels like the game was only released a couple of weeks ago. Every other season will add a new hero to the roster, and since the current one contained the Antarctic Peninsula map, season 4 is going to bring a newcomer to the squad; Lifeweaver, who recently got revealed by Blizzard. See everything you need to know about him below.
Release Date And Start Time
The third season of Overwatch 2 is coming to an end. Since season 4 will launch on April 11 at 6 pm GMT/ 2 pm EST/11 am PST, you'll still have a few hours to collect all the remaining rewards in the season 3 battle pass. Here, you can find out how to grind through it faster:
New Support Hero Lifeweaver
Every other season in Overwatch 2, Blizzard is going to bring another hero to the game. In season 2, we got to welcome Ramattra, a new tank hero that many fans grew quite fond of. But since Overwatch has a big problem with lacking support heroes and support players, the developers have announced that the next few upcoming heroes are all going to be supporters.
Recently, Blizzard revealed the new support hero Lifeweaver, who is going to join the squad with season 4 and will become obtainable in the battle pass. Lifeweaver is a healer at heart and his gameplay is quite utility focused. His kit relies more on tactical gameplay and positioning rather than aiming skills. If you want to know more about his kit, we got you covered.
Here, you can find out all about his abilities and what his gameplay will be like:
Did you know, that you can get a Razer gaming mouse for under $20? The Razer DeathAdder Essential offers great performance and is super comfortable in your hand. The best thing is: It's currently on a discount, so you can get it for only $19,99 on Amazon.
New Mythic Skin
The battle pass for season 4 is going to include several really nice collectibles. This time, Blizzard has really outdone themselves with releasing stunning new skins and hyping us up for the upcoming season.
Although we haven't seen the battle pass yet, there is one thing that is one there for sure. It's a new mythic skin! This time it is Sigma who is blessed with one and it looks really spectacular. The whole season is sort of galactic themed and the new Galactic Emperor Sigma skin fits just perfectly. It also makes him look a lot like MCU villain Thanos...
Brigitte Hero Rework
Much to our surprise, Brigitte is facing a big rework in season 4. We already got to see a bit of her new gameplay in the season 4 launch trailer, and it looks really promising. With 100 restorable armor in her health pool, she is going to become a bit more "tank-like". Good news for supporters, since we've recently been lacking healers that can take some damage.
One of the most obvious changes is the shield. Blizzard has increased the size of Brigitte's barrier by a lot, and also buffed its maximum health, making her a good substitute for Reinhardt.
Rumored Hero Changes
Over the past few months, we've picked up a few additional hero changes that are rumored to come with season 4. Although these aren't confirmed by Blizzard, we might see them in the patch notes tonight.
Mercy
With the update to season 3, Mercy received some bigger buffs for her healing output and self-heal ability. But now it feels like she is quite overpowered and really hard to fight against. Although it might be a good thing, in general, to make support heroes stronger, making Mercy unbearable is definitely not the way.
With that being said, we think that Blizzard is either going to nerf her again or maybe even change up her kit a bit more.
Sombra
Usually, we know Sombra as this super high IQ and strong character, but right now, she is actually quite weak. Some even say that she is currently the worst DPS in the game.
Overwatch 2 lead hero designer, Jared Neuss, announced that they are going to give her a whole rework with some major changes to her set.
“There’s a new toy in terms of an ability or something in her kit that’s very different.”
