Payday may not be as big as a CS:GO or Call of Duty, but it still has a huge and loyal community that loves to rob some banks while wearing creepy clown masks. The current Payday 2 was released back in 2013, which is why players are already looking forward to Payday 3, but when is Payday 3 finally coming out?

Payday 3 Release Date: Gameplay Coming Soon

Payday 3 was announced at the start of 2023 and while we still don't have a specific release date, we recently got some news that hint on a release window at the end of 2023. Tobias Sjogren, CEO of publisher Starbreeze, wrote:

PAYDAY 3 is releasing later this year, and we’re getting ready to showcase a first look at PAYDAY 3’s gameplay as well as more information about what you can expect very soon.

A very short trailer that went live alongside that statement also mentions "Gameplay. This Summer. Don't Miss Out."

Yes, the trailer is basically showing nothing at all, but the short announcement at the end is enough to drive up the hype. So when will get more news about Payday 3? Most likely, the gameplay reveal will take place during the Summer Game Fest on June 8, which will take over for the canceled E3.

However, in a financial report, Sjogren also confirmed that the developers will already start dropping clues inside Payday 2 from now on, to reveal how the two games are linked. After all, up until now, we only know that Payday 3 will be set in New York – that's it.

We are really looking forward to the release of Payday 3 and can't wait to get more info. As soon as we get more news or leaks, we will of course keep you up to date.
