We are all very excited for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the next big 3D-Pokemon games. Since the announcement, we were very eager to see more of the game and to find out, when we could play it. The time has come, my friends: Nintendo just released an amazing new trailer for the games, and they also revealed the release date! Let's check it out together.

What is the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Release Date?

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will release on November 18, 2022, exclusively for Nintendo Switch. This was revealed in this amazing new trailer that Nintendo dropped today. Check it out here:

In this trailer, we see the new game in action, revealing the big, new world, with different biomes, areas that the player will be able to travel through in their quest to catch them all! The game genuinely looks a cut above the disappointing Sword & Shield and also Pokémon Arceus, which came out earlier this year.

And I don't mean that just graphically, I mean gameplay-wise as well. Nintendo revealed some more info on what features Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will grace us with:

  • Fully open-world that can be explored as players please (not dictated by story)
  • Online play with 4 players (trade/battle/explore together)
  • Different professors for each version

The official website of the game claims that Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will be the "first open-world RPGs in the Pokémon series". We're very excited to see this for ourselves and dive deep into this new world on November 18, when Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will be released.
