While exploring the Rising Sea in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, you’ll find a pirate captain who gives you the quest Treasure of the Seven Seas. In this quest, all you have to do is to find his beloved parrot. Doing that requires you to get through a pretty tricky platforming section.

But first, you need to find the fleeting birdy. You do that by literally going to the right into the next room. Sounds easy, but you should know that I somehow missed that path and wandered around for ages like a fool. So, just go to the right after speaking to the captain and you should come to the room with the bird. But, the bird is of course not just sitting there and this is not just a normal room. This is The Lost Crown after all, so of course the room contains a challenging jumping puzzle. You not only need to complete the platforming challenge once, but twice even!

The bird is flying in the air, as birds are prone to doing. So, just like with Xerxes in The Lost Crown, you need to collect the bird and then make your way back through the gauntlet until you reach solid ground at the entrance to the room.

When you encounter this quest, you should only have the Shadow and the Dash as powers. With only these equipped, this room will definitely pose a challenge to you.

NOTE

The following section of this article reveals a late-game ability. Read on with caution!

I completed this quest at a later stage, when I got another ability that massively helped here: the Gravity Wings. If you have this power, the bird challenge should be pretty easy to complete.

Once you return the parrot to its rightful owner, you will be rewarded with one Xerxes coin, 1000 Time Crystals and a special goodie: the bird will mark secret treasures on your map! How neat.
