We heard about the partnership between 2K and LEGO last year, but we only saw what their new racing game would actually look like a few days ago when LEGO 2K Drive was first leaked. Now, less than a week later, IGN have gone and leaked even more info about the game.

They didn't mean to leak the release date and price of LEGO 2K Drive, the information was under embargo. However, they accidentally published an article too early. The article was quickly taken offline, but not before fans on the Resetera forums could take some screenshots.

What Do We Know About LEGO Drive 2K

The game will be closer to Forza Horizon than Mario Kart, in that it uses an open-world despite being a racing game, but it's also distinctly LEGO because you will be able to build your own vehicles from LEGO pieces. Per the now deleted IGN article:

Staying on brand for LEGO, 2K Drive also includes a diverse customisation system that allows players to build a vehicle that suits their taste with over 1,000 unique LEGO pieces. More conventional choices are in the game too, with cars from LEGO City, Creator, Speed Champions, and even the McLaren Solus GT and F1 LM, also available.

How awesome is that? We've even got a pic of the vehicle creator:

We also know that there will be co-op, 6-player PVP racing, and even 2-player local multiplayer. But for any further details, we will need to wait for something official from LEGO or 2K.
