But how do you save your game in this co-op survival game? In this guide, we'll show you how to build a shelter that allows you to save your progress at any time.
Sons of the Forest: How To Save Your Game
First, you'll need to scavenge for supplies. Head to the helicopter crash site and search the containers for a reflective tarp. You'll also need a stick, which you can find scattered on the ground as you explore.Once you have your supplies, open your inventory with the I key and equip the tarp. Look for a flat area where you can place the shelter and left-click to set it up. You'll see an outline of a square on the ground, which you can rotate with the Q and R keys. When you're satisfied with the location, left-click again to place the tarp.To turn the tarp into a shelter, look at one corner of the tarp until you see a white, dotted-line arrow pointing up. Left-click again while holding a stick, and you'll prop up that corner of the tarp with the stick. Repeat this process for the other corners if you wish, using more sticks as needed.
Now that your shelter is complete, you can save your progress at any time by approaching the shelter and holding down the E key. You can also sleep by holding down the Z key. Your shelter will appear as a house icon on your GPS map, making it easy to find again later. To move your shelter, simply smash the stick with your axe and the tarp will fold itself back up. You can then add it to your inventory and find a new location to set it up.With this guide, you'll be able to save your progress and stay one step ahead of the dangers in Sons of the Forest. Stay vigilant, and stay alive!
