Bethesda's new RPG game Starfield is coming out soon, and so is its early access. Find out here what the early access date is and how you can play the game before its official release date.
From the makers of Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Bethesda is releasing their long awaited game Starfield soon. After over 25 years, Starfield is the first new universe Bethesda is presenting to the public, and fans are hyped.
Besides being able to customize your character and your background story, you can pilot and command your own ship to explore the galaxy filled with over 1000 planets.
You can meet memorable characters and recruit them for your own team and fight together in different, sometimes even zero g, environments! It seems, the possibilities will be endless in Starfield.
Ever since its official announcement at E3 in 2018, fans have been waiting patiently for the game to come out. And with a game size of 125gb, I think the wait will be worth it.
Starfield Early Access Date Revealed
With the official launch date on September 6, 2023, Bethesda have now finally announced when players will be able to play in early access.
Early access will officially begin on September 1, 2023, five days before the game fully releases.
How To Get Early Access
The only way to get early access to the game is by pre-ordering the Starfield Premium Edition. If you have already pre-ordered the standard Starfield game , don't worry. You can order the Starfield Premium Edition Upgrade separately in order to upgrade your game to premium edition. This will also grant you early access.
Betheda's Website tells us what pre-order bonuses we can expect:
Each Starfield pre-order entails the "Old Mars Skin Pack" which offers these in-game items:
- Laser Cutter
- Deep Mining Helmet
- Deep Mining Pack
The Starfield Premium Edition (digital) includes:
- Starfield base game
- Shattered Space Story Expansion (upon release)
- Up to 5 days early access
- Constellation Skin Pack
- Access to Starfield Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack
With a price point at $69.99 for the standard game and $99.99 for the premium edition, upgrading from the standard game is quite a big step for most people.
If you're a huge fan of Bethesda games and have been waiting for Starfield since its announcement in 2018, go for it. But if you're a casual fan and were hoping to play the game before release, maybe those five days won't seem so long to wait out.
Especially since the game is so large, early access players may get a head start, but they will only be able to scratch the surface of the game in that time.
If you can't wait to see what Starfield has in store for you, consider checking out the Starfield Animated Anthology in the meantime, until the game's release. Get a first look at three of the major cities in the Settled Systems!
Either way, whatever you go for, have fun and enjoy the game when it comes out!
