If you aren't interested in early access to the game, or any in game bonuses, then the Standard Edition is probably your best choice. The base game costs $69.99/ €69.99/ £69.99.
Xbox Game Pass
Those of you that are looking to play Starfield through their Xbox Game Pass subscription, will also gain access to the standard pre-order bonus, the "Old Mars Skin Pack".
Xbox Game Pass users will also be able to play Starfield as soon as it comes out on September 6.
Starfield Digital Premium Edition
If you pre-order the Starfield Digital Premium Edition, you will receive:
- Up to five days early access
- "Old Mars Skin Pack" which includes:
- Laser Cutter
- Deep Mining Helmet
- Deep Mining Pack
The Premium Edition otherwise includes:
- Starfield Base Game
- Shattered Space Story Expansion (upon release)

Starfield Premium Edition doesn't necessarily come at a small price. It costs $99.99/ €99.99/ £99.99.
But don't worry if you have already pre-ordered the base game, but want early access as well. You can easily upgrade your pre-order.
Starfield Premium Edition Upgrade
The Starfield Premium Edition Upgrade is for those of you, that have already pre-ordered the base game but are also interested in early access and cool game bonuses! You can simply buy the upgrade to, well, upgrade your base game to Premium Edition status!
The upgrade includes:
- Up to 5-days early access (Requires Game Pass Subscription or Digital Version of the Base Game)
