Street Fighter 6 is just a couple of weeks old, but the hype is real. Capcom's action packed fighting game is breaking records left, right and center. Seems like the community waited an awful long time for a good fighting game and they've been lapping this amazing game up like there's no tomorrow.

Street Fighter 6 Sets Records Everywhere
Street Fighter 6 is for sure the biggest fighting game of 2023 and sets new records on nearly every platform. Just a few days ago, Street Fighter 6 was the most streamed game on the leading livestreaming website Twitch, with nearly 300K live viewers. This shows the overall popularity of the game and the interest in general.
A success that was obvious from the beginning, as the game boasted 70k active players the day following its release, according to SteamDB. And it seems to be the case that Esports might benefit from this hype as well.
"Street Fighter 6 at #Evo2023 has officially broken a franchise and All-Time Evo record for competitors", as was revealed by the EVO Twitter page, and the registrations are still open.

EVO, short for Evolution Championship Series, is one of the world's biggest Tournament for Fighting games. The event will be held from August 4 to 6.
It doesn't seem likely that the Street Fighter 6 hype might slow down in the foreseeable future, since the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. This might convince more players, even the ones with less experience in fighting games, to give Street Fighter a shot.
Now it will be interesting to see how Capcom will react to this massive success and how much effort they will put into the game in the next couple of months and years.
