Gaming and Esports are no longer the prejudiced nerd topics they once were. The gaming industry is rapidly growing and now accounts for a huge share of our current media world - and Esports has also become a real industry.

Events like the League of Legends World Championship captivates millions of viewers every year and fill entire sports arenas. This year, esports even made it to the Olympics, albeit with somewhat strange games.

So it's no wonder that there are more and more jobs to be filled in the field of gaming and Esports. So far, however, it's still hard to find universities offering degrees that are specifically designed for gaming and Esports.

For all those who are currently looking for the right degree program, we would like to introduce you to the Digital Business University (DBU) and its new degree program Digital Business Management | Focus Gaming & Esports.

Introducing DBU

DBU is a state-recognized private university in Berlin. It offers numerous accredited bachelor's, master's, and MBA degree programs, the content and concept of which are geared to the needs of the digital age. To this end, the degree programs always combine a sound academic education with a practical professional orientation. This means that there is always a focus on the practical application of the knowledge acquired.

All degree programs take place online, with voluntary on-site attendance events - and they can be individually adapted to students' life circumstances. For example, you can complete your bachelor's degree full-time (i.e. 6 semesters) or part-time (i.e. 12 semesters); semesters off are of course also possible. Depending on your previous studies or work experience, you can also have achievements credited to your studies and thus shorten the study time.

Since it is a private university, you will of course have to pay tuition fees, which vary depending on the degree and study model you choose. But don't worry, there are numerous ways to finance your studies, such as BAföG, student loans or scholarships. The DBU also offers personal counseling in that regard.
