It was at EVO 2022 that Tekken 8 was teased. Back then, we didn't get much more than a teaser trailer, and we were left with a yearning for more and, quite frankly, a couple of questions. A few of those questions have now thankfully been answered by the Tekken 8 official reveal.
We've got all the important info about the release date and available platforms on Bandai Namco's new fighting game.
Tekken 8 Release Date

Tekken 8: All Platforms
Tekken 8 will release on PC and next-gen consoles, so PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Yes, if you still play on a PS4 or Xbox One, you seriously need to upgrade... After all, you can get an Xbox Series X|S or PS5 practically anywhere and many stores provide interesting bundles including cool games or even a few months of Game Pass.
All New Features in Tekken 8
New features are being introduced to the Tekken franchise!
Tekken 8 features Arcade Quest, which allows you to create your own character. In the Arcade, you can choose between arcade machines, which will offer different activities. This feature is pretty much a rip-off from the Street Fighter franchise, where a very similar feature has been around for a while.
However, this is not the only new feature in Tekken 8. You will also be able to play beachball with your opponent. Damage them by causing the ball to drop on their side of the playing field – or by smacking the ball into their face as hard as possible! Everything goes!
And the latest installment in the series also introduces an all-new game mechanic called the "Heat System", which gives players the ability to use aggression as a tactic and incorporate offensive attacks into their play style, with special moves and character abilities based on each character's unique traits.
Let's make the wait more bearable, shall we? Here's the story and gameplay teaser trailer for Tekken 8:
