The leaks were true. We are indeed getting an open-world Terminator game, developed by Nacon Studio Milan.
Okay, who watched the livestream from Nacon? How did you like the new trailer for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum? We're pretty hyped about the game, but that's not all that was shown during the presentation. On top of that, we even got our first look at a new Terminator game – even though we didn't get too much footage, there's still some exciting info on the upcoming title.
Open-World Terminator Game in Development
Rumors that we will eventually get a Terminator survival game have been circulating the internet for a couple of weeks now. And as luck would have it, we now have official confirmation: Nacon Studio Milan is working on a title in the world of Terminator, one of the world’s most popular and iconic film franchises.
The Terminator survival game was announced during the Nacon Connect 2022 showcase and has no official name yet. The very short trailer didn't tell us too much about the game, unfortunately. But, the footage we were shown looks pretty interesting – just have a look yourself:
The developers have revealed at least some additional information to us in a press release. For this reason, we also know that the Terminator game will feature an open world. Here's what Nacon Studio Milan announced on their website:
The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic open world and features an original story that builds on the events of the official films. You play as a group of nuclear apocalypse survivors fighting to stay alive in a time period between Judgment Day and the creation of John Connor’s resistance.
And... well, that's everything there is to know about the upcoming Terminator game right now. We know close to nothing about the release date, the story, the gameplay, and even the official title.
It will probably be some time before we can slip into the role of Arnold Schwarzenegger. But to make the wait a bit more bearable for us, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released on September 1, 2022. With that being said. Hasta la vista, baby.
