Is This Stardew Valley Character Making An Epic Comeback?
It is a well known fact that developer Concerned Ape, who is in active communication with this fan base, is working on bringing new updates to Stardew Valley and simultaneously making a new game called Haunted Chocolatier. He prefers to work mysteriously, keeping most of the development of both games secret for a while and then randomly dropping new information when you least expect it.
And this exactly what he did recently – when everyone was expecting him to be hard at work on Stardew Version 1.6., he decided to post a very telling screenshot of Haunted Chocolatier instead.

Am I tripping, or is that Grandpa waking up from the best nap of his life? That would mean he isn't actually dead, and all of Stardew Valley was just something he made up in his mind. Does that mean the player isn't canon as well? Or were we just included in his imagination? Not going to lie, that would be really adorable. But why would it be a terrible dream, you know, except the grandpa dying part Stardew Valley is pretty neat.
Now, as much as I am impatient and excited for both of these games to get developed further, we need to remember that all of this is being produced by a one-man team. Eric Barone, most know him as his alias Concerned Ape, has been getting many complaints about his working speed, but he is doing the best he can to keep up. Let's cut him a little slack.
