Ubisoft+ will be coming to PlayStation, with their stripped-down "Classics" joining PlayStation Plus.
Ubisoft has announced that its games-on-demand service Ubisoft+ will be coming to PlayStation. The service will come in two distinctions, Ubisoft+ and Ubisoft+ Classics, the latter of which will come bundled with the Extra and Premium tiers of the recently revamped PlayStation Plus service.

There will be 27 games availalbe on Ubisoft+ Classics on Day 1 include Assassin's Creed Valhalla, For Honor, Far Cry 4, and Watch Dogs. The service will launch as the new PlayStation Plus service rolls out, starting with Asia (May 23) before the Americas (June 13) and then Europe (June 22). Ubisoft promises that 50 games will be available by the end of the year.
With Ubisoft+ Classics, we’re providing PlayStation players with another way to enjoy Ubisoft games on their consoles. This is just the beginning, as we will ultimately make Ubisoft+ available to PlayStation owners as we continue to build our vision and provide players with more options to access their favorite games, wherever they are. – Chris Early, Ubisoft Senior Vice President of Partnerships
The addition of Ubisoft+ Classics to PlayStation Plus is another feather in the bow of a service that has won over gamers. Just last week, PlayStation Plus was thought of as poor value when compared to its rival on-demand service Xbox Game Pass, but with over 400 PS4 and PS5 games arriving with the Extra tier and classic PS1, PS2, and PSP games with Premium, the service's perception has done a 180.
As mentioned before, Ubisoft is also bringing its Ubisoft+ service to PlayStation which will bring yet more games from the publisher. No date was given for the arrival of the service that is already available on PC, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna and is also expected to come to Xbox. However, gamers will need to fork over more cash for that over and above the PlayStation Plus price.
PlayStation Plus Extra will cost $14.99/€13.99/£10.99 a month, while PS Plus Premium will cost $17.99/€16.99/£13.49 a month with savings to be made for purchasing 3 or 12 month subscriptions.
