How to get a house in Tears of the Kingdom, you may ask? Rupees! Well, you'll need a little bit more than that.
In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can not only construct vehicles to your own liking, you can also build your own house! Unlike in Breath of the Wild, where you just could get a little house, you're able to create a home yourself in Tears of the Kingdom.
How To Build Link's House In Tarrey Town
Before you can build up your own house you'll need to visit Tarrey Town. It is located in the Akkala region on an island in the center of Lake Akkala. The closest shrine to it is the Rasitakiwak Shrine from where on you can glide towards the town.
In Tarrey Town, the Hudson Construction Company has its head office – you can barely miss it. At this office you can start the side quest "Mattison's Independence".
You'll have to complete that quest if you want to be able to build your own home. Once you've accomplished that, you once again visit Hudson Construction Company and speak to Rhondson, who will make you an offer you can't refuse.
For only 1,500 rupees she would sell you a patch of land, not far from Tarrey Town - if you have enough money. If not, we've got your back: How to farm rupees.

Home On Arrange
This will start the Home on Arrange Quest. You can find a plot of land close to the Rasitakiwak Shrine, a flat patch of grass with a wooden booth next to it. There you can speak to Granteson, which will start the building tutorial.
The first two rooms you're given are a bedroom and a foyer which you have to place in the enclosure, where you can connect them.

Afterward, you can talk to Granteson again to buy more rooms, which you can connect and place as you like to build your dream house. But you should do a little bit of planning in advance since you can only place 15 units on your plot – and every one of them will cost you precious rupees.
