Surviving in a city that's filled to the brim with danger can prove difficult, especially for an ordinary citizen. Luckily, New Eridu, the last existing city in Zenless Zone Zero, has found a way to support their people with some super special companions: The Bangboo!
When traveling through an entirely new world all on your own, it tends to get a little lonely, which is why HoYoverse started to introduce tiny travel companions in each of their games. Most players enjoy having these cute creatures around them, however we all have to admit that at least Paimon from Genshin Impact is a little over the top when it comes to the amount of monologues.
In Zenless Zones Zero, HoYoverse created an entire species to act as a mascot for the game, which are called the Bangboo. Let's take a look, what these guys have in store for us!
Zenless Zone Zero: The Bangboo
As mentioned, the world of Zenless Zone Zero can sometimes be rough and dangerous. Especially after the appearance of the first Hollows, it is simply no longer safe to move around the city without any extra help. This is where the Bangboo come into play!
Even though their "enn enn" sounds can be a little scary at first and annoying in the long run, Bangboo are completely harmless for the citizens of New Eridu.
In fact, they are exactly the opposite of dangerous! Although Bangboo are only about knee-high, they are exceptionally great helpers when it comes to evacuating a Hollow! They can even locate a disaster before it occurs and get everyone to safety ahead of time!
However, if a Bangboo is working too much, they have to get a recharge since they are still “just” tiny robots! Although this charging process is probably very inconvenient for the people and for the Bangboo itself, its mechanical design has one advantage: you can improve and customize it! This is why some super tough ones are able to lead expeditions into the deepest depths of uncharted Hollows. Not only cute but also amazingly helpful!
I really wish I could have one of these small guys for my everyday life as well!
