In a recent episode of the Xbox Direct podcast, Jez Corden claimed to have "tentative evidence that are discussions about bringing the Final Fantasy VII Remake to Xbox". The hosts also sounded hopeful for an FFXVI Xbox port, but on that point they were merely speculating.
You can already buy FF7 on Xbox, and it's the game you know and love, but if you want to play the remake you'll need a PlayStation or a PC. However, according to a reliable insider, that might soon be changing.

At the 56-minute mark during the most recent episode of The Xbox Two podcast (don't worry, the video is timestamped), host Jez Corden says that he has evidence of "discussions about bringing the Final Fantasy 7 Remake to Xbox". Check it out:
We hear these kinds of rumors about Final Fantasy every single year, but Jez Corden is a fairly well-respected insider. He's the editor of Windows Central, and he's been the first to leak a number of stories that later turned out to be true.
At the moment, this is still one for you to file under "leaks and rumor", but let's not forget that we already have a ton of FF games on Xbox, we just need to pray that Sony haven't locked Square Enix down to long-term exclusivity in the case of FF7 Remake. We aren't holding our breath, but it's not as crazy as Halo on PlayStation, or Skull & Bones actually getting a relea — wait...
