It has been over four years since the sensational comeback of Kratos in God of War, the PS4- and PC-exclusive action adventure that saw the Greek beefcake go from eternal Goblin Mode to being a sort-of-sweet dad.

Fans have been clamoring for the sequel, God of War Ragnarök, and it's almost here. The game finally comes out on November 9, and to prepare everyone for the upcoming release, Sony has released a video that everyone looking forward to playing Ragnarök needs to see.

The Story So Far, Told By Mimir

In this trailer, titled Myths of Midgard, we get a short, snappy and ever-so-useful summary of the story in God of War, told by famous actress / gamer Felicia Day and Mimir from the first game. The video also features brilliantly gorgeous artwork, so you also get something nice to look at. Since Ragnarök is a direct sequel to the previous God of War, and since that game came out literal ages ago, we highly recommend that you watch this!

I recently played through God of War again when it came to PS Plus Essential and my god, I truly forgot everything. There are tons of amazing setups and hints towards Ragnarök in there which I just didn't catch the first time or simply forgot in the last four years. Replaying through the story and having those details refreshed has me feeling ten times more hyped for Ragnarök.

Now, if you can't or don't want to do that then this video is absolutely perfect for you. It's only around six minutes long, and it's beautifully made. Lean back, enjoy and get ready for Ragnarök.

Before you go out and order God of War Ragnarök, maybe have a look at how much it will cost first...
