League of Legends Worlds champion and esports GOAT, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyuk has shown off his in-game knowledge by mastering Hwei after just watching a few videos of him.
Faker is the most renowned player in all of League of Legends with multiple trophies under his belt and more wins than anyone else in the world of LoL esports. He's also one of the smartest players on the rift, with insane game knowledge.
Riot recently revealed their newest champion, Hwei, and his ten abilities which already has most players confused, but Faker managed to memorize his skills and combos within moments on stream, without ever having actually played the champion.
LoL: Faker Masters Hwei Combos Within Minutes
Hwei has just been added to the League of Legends roster, and he's already got players either confused or upset, due to the immense amount of abilities he's got. Well, on November 29, 2023, fresh off his fourth World Championship title, Faker streamed and watched some videos on Hwei.
During the stream, Faker managed to memorize all of Hwei's skills, as well as fourteen different combos that you can do with his huge arsenal.
While studying Hwei's kit, Faker did state that his skills seem complicated, but he also looks like a very refreshing pick, with a vast kit. Still it's crazy to think that a veteran player like Faker managed to understand all the skills and multiple combos simply by watching the champion spotlight.
Faker Fears For Brand Mains
Not only did Faker managed to learn all about Hwei within a few moments on stream, he also expressed his worries for older champions like Brand, asking whether any Brand mains would remain once Hwei has been released, since some of the abilities might be similar to Brand.
Does Faker Believe Hwei Is Viable In Pro Play?
Overall, Faker also stated that he doesn't think Hwei will be too viable in pro play, but that he could be used in specific situations if a team is in need of utility, which is something his kit is full of. According to Faker Hwei looks like a weak champion in lane, but an overall decent and fun champion.
Since he looks to be a weak laner, players will have to play passively at first, but he could truly shine in fights thanks to his skills.
For now, these are just predictions, but it's still interesting to get the GOATs opinion on a new champion and we do hope to see him get played in pro-play in 2024.
