Online gaming can be filled with trolls and people spewing hate speech left, right and center, but there is one professional player who has earned praise from the community for doing the exact opposite.

After the 3-1 win over JDG in the World Championship semi-finals, Faker was asked to do his signature pose, but switch it up a little for the camera. The player refused, and the interaction was caught by someone who posted it on Twitter.

LoL Worlds 2023: Faker Doesn't Need To BM

BM stands for 'bad manners' and often refers to a players' behavior in a game. This is often done by emoting after someone died or, in FPS games, t-bagging an opponents' corpse.

Even pro players will BM from time to time, but it seems that the face of League of Legends is above this and chooses not to indulge in such behavior inside or outside of the game, which has earned him praise from the community.

After the win against JDG, a photographer went to snap a few pictures of Faker who held up his signature 'thumbs up' pose. In a video of a fan who filmed the interaction, it was seen that the photographer asked Faker to also pose with the thumbs down, which Faker refused to do.

This goes to show that the greatest League of Legends player of all time, going into his sixth League of Legends World Championship finals, is above these types of gestures, which has warmed the hearts of many.

Fans are also proud, knowing that one of the most toxic online games has someone like Faker as the face of the game and esport. He is a respectful player who doesn't flame in solo queue either and seems polite in real life as well.
