After a little hiatus, Girls5eva makes its new home at Netflix. And the welcome gift the show got from the streaming service? A brand-new season! Here's everything you need to know about Girl5eva's season 3, including the release date, the returning cast and any other news you could possibly need.
Girls5eva, the musical comedy by wonderful Meredith Scardino (you might also know her for her work on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), moves from Peacock to Netflix. But not only will the first two seasons be available on Netflix, there's also a brand-new season of hilarious shenanigans coming!
If you're new to the girls, here's what's in store for you: Girls5eva was a one-hit-wonder girl band back in the day and now, twenty years after their taste of fame, they reunite to get back into the business – you know, the normal midlife crisis stuff. It's never too late to chase your dreams, after all! Here's everything you need to know about the newest season at Netflix.
Season 3 Of Girls5eva Releases In March On Netflix
All three seasons release on Netflix on March 14, 2024 – so, if you missed out on Girls5eva on Peacock back in the day, now's your chance to binge the whole show to your heart's content. The first seasons have eight episodes each, but season 3 is slightly shorter with only six episodes.
And honestly, Netflix has the chance of the year with Girls5eva. The show was barely promoted on Peacock and shockingly few people actually have that gem of a comedy show on their radar, even though the cast is great and tried and true women of the people are attached to it – namely Meredith Scardino and Tina Fey.
So now might be your chance to catch up on the show with an – and I need to repeat myself here – absolutely great cast.
Girls5eva Band Members, AKA The Cast
The main cast returns to reprise their roles as the band members of Girls5eva:
- Sara Bareilles as Dawn
- Busy Philipps as Summer
- Paula Pell as Gloria
- Renée Elise Goldsberry as Wickie
And, thankfully, Meredith Scardino didn't give the show away to anyone else – she's back at it again with the third season, so prepare for the same type of craziness (and meaningfulness, to be frank) you're used to with the first two seasons!
So make sure to take the weekend off so you can burn through all the seasons in one sitting come March 14.
