Cody Sun Attacks Pro-Players For Psychological Warfare
Liyu "Cody Sun" Sun had a quite successful esport career in League of Legends so far, you could call him a veteran at this point. He played in the North American LCS for years in Teams like Immortals, Team Liquid, 100 Thieves, Dignitas and Clutch Gaming.
Now Cody Sun has attacked some of his peers for using "psychological warfare" to keep their spots in the team and in the scene in general. In a series of tweets, Cody Sun called out veterans of the scene for "engaging in various forms of psychological warfare in interviews, social media, spreading rumors and causing drama"
They do this by constantly engaging in various forms of psychological warfare in interviews, social media, spreading rumors and causing drama. All of which is done as a means of distraction from their own inability to improve in soloq, ex: 51% wr in GM with 1k games

His outburst was caused by a general discussion about the importance of SoloQ for pro players, in which Cody Sun took the stand that NA players aren't dedicated enough.
For the longest time NA has been plagued with complacency, great pretenders that get signed based off of brand value alone. Many of whom show absolute zero respect to SoloQ or the ladder. These individuals will employ psyops on the masses to convince that soloq isn't important.
Psyops? Wow, these are some serious allegations. But how have fans reacted?
Community and Pro-Scene Reactions
Some people, like the former pro-player turned coach Maurice "Amazingx" Stückenscheider, argued with Cody Sun over these claims, but most were just memeing in their reaction.
Psyops requires intent. I think most, and that included me at a certain point, don't derive a ton of value from soloq compared to scrims, and then tend to generalize their personal experience to make points about NA solo queue as a whole. Though I like your general point!

For example the LoL streamer and content creator "snowbird" postet a meme about Cody Suns declaration that "these individuals will employ psysops on the masses"

It will be interesting to see, if other pro-player veterans, teams or even Riot themselves will react to these allegations. But it's safe to say that in a competitive environment with limited spots, people will do a lot to keep their position. After all, all of them worked incredibly hard, and played even harder, to reach this level.
At the moment, Cody Sun is still without a team. It will be also interesting to see if this statement will impact his future and if teams will be willing to pick him up.
