Riot is going to start the 2023 season with a bang. They've got a two-day kickoff event planned where players will celebrate the start of the new LoL season, as well as the competitive pro-season all in one. This event will replace the All Star event.
The League of Legends All-Star Event has been one of the most memorable events. Throughout the years it brought a lot of smiles and laughter to the fans with some fun interactions between some of the best players on the planet.
Who doesn't remember Faker and Bjergsen playing tandem LoL together, right? Well, to alleviate the schedule of pro-players, Riot is thinking of some new things to get fans involved with their favorite pros. Let's see what we know about the upcoming Season 2023 kickoff event.
LoL Season 2023 Kickoff Event Announced
While All Stars has been fun, with the current schedule of all the League of Legends leagues it does seem unfitting to fit it into their only off-time throughout the year. So, Riot is changing things up and adding a kickoff event to celebrate the start of the League of Legends season.
Players and their favorite pros will be taking part in a two-day event, but it hasn't been revealed yet what exactly this event will entail. Will players meet and come together or will different events take place depending on the region. What has been announced is that the LoL Esports scenes will be a part of this kickoff event.
The Kickoff event will replace the League of Legends All-Star Event. While All-Stars has provided players and fans with countless special moments over the years, the current calendar can be challenging for many All-Star players.
LoL Season 2023 Kickoff Event Dates
The LoL Season 2023 kickoff event is going to take place on January 10 and 11. This means that the ranked season will likely start around that time, so we can expect a LoL Season broadcast and trailer to be released around that time as well to get us hyped for Season 13 in League of Legends.
